CFRE
The Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) is an accreditation program for experienced fundraising professionals. After fulfilling initial requirements of professional service and education, individuals take a proficiency exam to demonstrate their knowledge of fundraising practices and standards. The CFRE is a three-year certification and requires continuing education to re-certify. To find out more about how you can earn a CFRE, click on the link provided.
The CFRE credential, held by more than 3,000 fundraising professionals, verifies experience and knowledge of fundraising and philanthropy. AFP also provides the Advanced Certified Fund Raising Executive (ACFRE) credential for senior professionals.
