Greetings,
As part of our strategic plan, the AFP Board of Directors is committed to hosting a Fall Conference each year. This year we will be offering the First Course in Fundraising. The course serves the AFP membership and the local not-for-profit community by offering a standardized curriculum with qualified presenters.
Mark you calendars now for October 8th & 9th. The Conference will be held both days from 8:30 am to
4:45 pm at Vanguard Distributing located at 8717 Northwest Boulevard in Davenport. The cost of the course is $330.00 for AFP Members/Affiliates and $370.00 for all others.
During this two-day course, an overview of the fundraising profession and the fundamentals of the development function will be provided. Attendees will receive a course manual that includes: an introduction to philanthropy and the development professional, planning for successful fundraising, the integrated development program, annual giving, securing major gifts from various donor groups and managing development office operations.
This course is recommended for Development staff, CEO’s of not-for-profits, members of development committees, volunteer leaders and those entering the fundraising profession.
Registration materials will be available soon. Please help us spread the word to your colleagues.
Margaret Lewis,
President
